Even though Detroit Public Schools (DPS) is shrinking, it’s expected that there will still be a huge need for new teachers in the coming years. The Teacher Education Initiative at the University of Michigan is helping new teachers get hands on experience. Michigan Radio’s Sarah Hulett talks to a student teacher at Western International High School in Detroit.
